Liverpool’s Renshaw Street has finally got a destination worth shouting about! Towering over the area for more than 100 years, Liverpool Grand Central has served as a place of worship, the home of the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, a nightclub, a theatre, a cinema, and, most recently, a bastion of Liverpool’s independant shopping scene.

Reflecting this coloured history comes our Liverpool Grand Central. We utilise every bit of space, every bit of history, and have created an experience truly unique to Liverpool. Grand Central integrates luxury hotels with boutique bars, live music and event spaces, a breath-taking wedding hall and an assemblage of world class restaurants.

Opening up the breathtaking basement space which the Liverpool Echo labelled “somewhere between Harrods Food Hall and Camden Market”, is the Grand Central Food Bazaar. This Gaudi-esque marvel of interior design hosts 14 different food stalls, of remarkably different style and local flavour.

The Dome

A floor above this is the Grand Central Hall itself, formerly called ‘The Dome’, which has been in use as a concert venue and event space since the building was built 1905. Gracing the stage in recent years has been former Pulp and Longpigs man Richard Hawley and boxer Tony Bellew.

In its life as a public space and as the temporary home of Quiggins after it’s School Lane site closure, the former Methodist Meeting Hall has firmly secured a place in every scouser’s heart. With this in mind, staying close to our own roots, we have lovingly refurbished this incredible room into a decadent and sumptuous 1,200 capacity venue hall. Actor and local legend, Ricky Tomlinson certainly approved at its exclusive June 2018 opening, saying,

“The Grand Central Hall is the finest venue I’ve ever seen – it is absolutely magnificent. It is a fantastic building and I can foresee this attracting real big stars to entertain the people of Liverpool.”

Grand Central Hall is licensed for Marriages and Civil Partnerships, offering a fully comprehensive wedding service in the spectacular main hall. Packages will include both a bridal and honeymoon suite in its upcoming adjoining luxury hotel (to be completed in 2019).

The oldest working organ

The Hall still boasts its incredible Grand Pipe Organ, the oldest working organ of its kind in the North-West. As well as this, we also boast the largest video screen outside of Wembley Stadium which will show all major sporting events (you can check for updates on our Facebook, Twitter and Eventbrite). We even have our own ghost according to local Ghost Hunter Tom Slemen (Author of Haunted Liverpool), who has documented sightings of a Victorian gentleman in and around the premises. Could it be the spectre of the great abolitionist William Roscoe, who was buried in the memorial garden at the back of the building?

Whatever your fancy, whatever your dream, Liverpool Grand Central wants to make it happen. We have the perfect, only one of its kind venue that we worked so hard to cultivate – all that’s missing is you.

Liverpool Grand Central Hall, Hotel and Food Bazaar. Make it happen. Make it Liverpool.
